Maos Maos everywhere and not a thought to think!
Jian Chuan Museum, in Anren, near Chengdu, Sicuhan Province is the most interesting museum in China. The museum consists of more than 15 buildings – many filled with Cultural Revolutionary paraphernalia. The physical structure of some of the buildings offer visceral critiques of the atrocities of the Cultural Revolution including hundreds of revolutionary clocks ticking in grottoes, and ceilings covered in tiny red Mao pins watching over you, and narrow hallways leading to Red rallies.
There’s also buildings in the complex that give overviews of the history of foot binding, the Japanese Invasion, and the Earthquake of 2008.
If you go to Chengdu to see the Pandas, make sure you go a little further and see this place!
