I have been awarded a DECRA (Discovery Early Career Research Award) from the Australian Research Council. The three-year project will investigate how youth create science fictions in order to think critically about issues related to sustainability, technology, and social equity. It will focus on youth in current/former mining communities and metropolitan communities in Australia, Canada, and Wales (in collaboration with authors, teachers, and experts in the fields of English literature, the arts, and STEM).
