Speculative Futures is my Australian Research Council Funded DECRA (2022-2025).
The project focuses on speculative and science fiction as methods for thinking critically about the world and proposing different futures on the themes of technology, climate, and social justice.
Key elements of the project include:

- Youth writing science fictions about the future in metropolitan and mining communities in three geographies (Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom);

- Contributions from interdisciplinary authors and cultural theorists who use speculative thought in their research;

- A literature review of speculative fiction on the project’s themes identified by scholars, students, and teachers that can be used in secondary schools.
